Hello There!

I filmed a November Lookbook and during my filming session I managed to get a few shots in my favorite outfit of the lookbook.  It is always a hassle to photograph and film at the same time so I picked my favorite outfit and shot as much of it as I could.  I really love how the photos came out, probably because I'm not wearing black for once in my life haha!  I will be definitely be looking out for more plaid this A/W, it is so timeless and adds a cozy feel to outfits. 

Speaking of Lookbooks, I'm seriously starting to feel limited by the space that I film in.  I'm so tired of the mirrored images ect, they all end up looking the same!  In my latest video I really tired to push myself to edit in a new way and I still don't feel satisfied.   I think my next step is to start filming outside and doing more OOTD posts than actual lookbooks.  That way I can shoot for my blog and film the outfit as well.  Usually, I try to stay away from outdoor filming because it's so difficult to film multiple outfits in different locations!  Not to mention all the stares haha...  What do you guys think?  Are my videos too similar?  Do you like the editing.  Let me know.  =)

Happy Holidays!!!

So I recently have been shopping quite a bit trying to spice up my winter wardrobe and makeup collection.  I went into H&M, TjMaxx, and ULTA and found some goodies. =)   I was in desperate need of new Fall/Winter lipsticks so I bought quite a few to try out.   My next video will be me trying on all of my favorite A/W lippies that way you can hopefully get a better idea of how they look on the lips.  That video should be up by next week and I will update my blog as well with photos of the lip colors.

As many of you know Black Friday and Cyber Monday have past and I have yet again gone shopping.  I have some more AMAZING things that I can't wait to show you guys!  Would you like to see a black Friday haul?!... Let me know.  Anyways, I hope you liked this post.. I am really enjoying the blogging world.. So much more relaxing than YouTube haha!

Guess Who's Back

I'm officially back, in my time away I've put a lot of things in perspective.  I posted a video explaining why I needed to take such a long break from YouTube and Blogging.  To sum it up I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease.  During that time my personal life seemed to fall apart and feeling so ill I just had no energy to keep blogging.  

While I was away I've reflected and realized that the biggest thing holding me back from the success and what I really want from life, is me.  I constantly think about how I want to be further along with my different creative outlets and the only reason for that is lack of time invested.  I started this blog to expand my creative energy to more platforms and I'm realizing now it's time to really put in the effort.  My plan is to start expressing myself more and creating more of a connection with my goals and dreams.  If I never really try I'll never know how much I am capable of.  I hope that you all enjoy this journey with me.

Room Tour

This candle is so divine, and the best part is the multi-layers!  I have just scratched the surface with the Vanilla Frosting scent, I'm excited to experience the Pumpkin Pie scent.. Yum!  This candle holder from HomeGoods sets the entire feel of the room, such a great buy at only $12.00!  The lights around the window are from Michael's in the wedding section.. I know.. strange right?  Pretty sure they were affordable at around $5.00 per set. (I needed two sets)

This picture captures one of those rare moments when my desk is not a complete disaster.  I usually have a million papers and books scattered all over. I wish I was one of those people that could study without creating a total mess haha!  I've had this desk for years and it was a horrible fake brown wood color until about 3 months ago.  I decided that along with my vanity it needed a face-lift.  I've always wanted the staple Ikea desk that every blogger has but I didn't want to shell out $200.00 for it.  I got some oil based furniture paint primer and some white paint and DIY'ed my way to stardom.  It was A LOT of work but It was so worth it. 

This "&" sign photo was also a DIY project that only took two seconds.  I bought the frame at HomeGoods and realized I had no picture that was the size of this frame.  I really hate printing out pictures from a computer because they always seem so faded and low quality but I still wanted something in the frame.  So I started thinking about quotes or words and finally decided to just put a "&" sign in there!  I love how minimal it is and since its just a simple black image my printer gets a break too.  Win Win.

 

After taking this picture I realized how little my lipstick collection had changed since my Vanity Storage video.. I have always been more interested in fashion but I feel like it's time for me to start messing around with make-up more.  Tomorrow I am going out to buy some new things to play around with. =)  Hopefully I will find lots of new fall/winter lipsticks and can create a new video showing some colder weather lippies.  Do any of you have some favorites that you want to share?  Please let me know! =)

I couldn't do a room tour without featuring the Fiance! <3 I haven't told anyone yet but we are planning to get legally married at the courthouse next month before we move into our new home in December.  I'm actually more excited about having a small ceremony at the court than I am about the big day in June.  I am actually a VERY shy person and I'm halfway dreading the huge day in June haha!  The courthouse day will be perfect because only a small amount of people will be there and Nathan and I can just focus on us without all the bells and whistles.  I still want to have a cute white dress for the legal ceremony and I think I'll bring flowers too!  Our family and friends will probably have a small celebration afterwards, can't wait =)  Anyways this is one of my favorite pictures of Nathan. =)

So I know it's been awhile since I posted this video but I wanted to post some pictures that I took as well.  I am going to be moving into a new home with my fiance Nathan in December/January and I wanted to officially document my childhood room for the last time. *Sniff sniff*

I can't wait to start fresh next month with a new office space which will hold my ever growing clothing collection!  I will be sure to update you guys on my new house adventure and I will be sure to post pictures as soon as I have it decorated the way I like =). 

I tired to make these pictures as intimate as possible and I wanted to capture the way my room feels when its totally clean haha!  I have it set up to be a space where I can relax, light a candle, and be in my zen mode.

Unicorn Ice

LimeCrime's infamous Airborne Unicorn has about a million reviews online and I wanted to feature the color in a photo that did the lipstick justice.  What I enjoy most about the color is the fact that it borders wearable and statement.  I do wish the formula was slightly more matte but the creamy-ness is slightly more forgiving on the lip cracks! 

The jewels on threw on my head last minuet are actually a necklace.  I bobby pinned the ends of the necklace in a high bun and it ended up working well.  I featured the photos on Instagram and got lots of requests for a makeup tutorial...  but honestly this is my everyday makeup with a few alterations.  I don't want to be that vlogger that has 1005 tutorials of the same makeup look, but if you guys really want I will do one =).  

I think on a fancy dinner out a really nice jewel headpiece would be a beautiful unexpected accessory.  Or if that's not your style you can be like me and have a photo-shoot at home with a necklace on your head. Haha!

Anyways hope you guys liked this post.  Sorry for the blog neglect, I'll do better I promise =D
