I was recently inspired to re-decorate my room with a focus on organization. My vision was all white and I promptly went and bought all the trimmings to make that happen. First I painted my dark wood vanity using a Zinsser primer and a white acrylic paint top coat (a larger task than anticipated). I then purchased the items numbered below to complete the look.
1. Home Goods Roses
2. Home Goods Mirror
3. World Market Frame (stock photo)
4. Home Goods Container
5. Candle Holders Tuesday Morning
6. Tj Maxx & Marshalls Coffee Cups
7. World Market Basket
8. Home Goods Basket
I actually bought this solid wood vanity for $125 from a sweet woman that was selling it off of craigslist. She explained how she had used it in her college days and had fond memories of getting ready for date's and girl's nights out. She even started to tear up when I began packing in my car (so sweet). Ever since I have thought that the vanity brings good energy to my room and now it finally has a space to really shine.
All of the small white pottery worked perfectly with my vanity to create a organized and simple look. I love sitting down at this table now because everything I need is right there in front of me and there is no question about where things go. The best part about all of this is it didn't break the bank! The organization pieces, including painting supplies, and flowers came in right under $100. All of the work and effort was totally worth this new zen corner I have in my bedroom. *sigh*
I unfortunately am the type to leave things messy but this organization will force me to keep things "pretty." Now all I need is a $500 voucher to IKEA to purchase my all white shoe cabinet, tribal print pillows, glass shelving units, and okay fine i'll stop dreaming.. *__*
I created a YouTube video to further explain the vanity and organization points, hope you enjoy.
Closet tour and room tour will be soon to follow!
